UFG Foundation announces 30 grant recipients spanning coast to coast

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – February 19, 2026

The UFG Foundation proudly starts 2026 by announcing the 30 nonprofits that received grants from the private foundation of UFG Insurance during its most recent funding cycle. This group of established 501(c)(3) organizations spans coast to coast, broadening the foundation’s impact.

“A direct part of our mission at UFG Insurance is to enhance the communities where we live and work,” explained UFG AVP, Marketing Communications Manager Casey Prince, also a foundation representative. “This giving cycle not only allowed the UFG Foundation to show support for organizations in our headquarters state of Iowa but also at least one nonprofit in every state where UFG has a regional office location.”

While many beneficiaries are located near Cedar Rapids, Iowa — UFG’s headquarters since 1946 — grants reached states including Arizona, California, Colorado, New Jersey and Texas where the commercial insurance carrier has additional offices.

Organizations that received a grant from the UFG Foundation include: 

  • Advocates for Children of New Jersey — Operating support
  • American Red Cross (Iowa) — Program support
  • Brucemore, Inc. (Iowa) — Program support
  • California Careforce — Program support 
  • Cedar Rapids Museum of Art — Operating and program support
  • Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity — Operating support
  • Chrysalis Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence Inc. (Arizona) — Operating support
  • Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois — Program support
  • Growing Real Opportunities for Work at Kazimour Farm & Orchard (Iowa) — Operating support
  • Hopeful Mama Foundation (Iowa) — Program support
  • Horizons (Iowa) — Capital campaign 
  • Houston Furniture Bank — Program support
  • Indian Creek Nature Center (Iowa) — Operating support
  • Iowa College Foundation — Program support
  • Iowa JAG Inc. — Program support
  • Iowa Women's Foundation — Operating support
  • Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa — Program support
  • Kids First Law Center (Iowa) — Program support
  • MentorKids USA (Arizona) — Operating support

“The missions of our grantees play an important role in the communities they serve,” Prince continued. “Whether it’s an environmental undertaking or work that uplifts underserved populations, each one of them is striving to make the world a little bit better. We’re proud to be a small part of their big stories.”
