UFG Foundation awards $80,000 in additional grants to mark company’s 80th anniversary
To commemorate the 80th anniversary of UFG Insurance, the UFG Foundation has proudly awarded $80,000 in special anniversary grants to nonprofits recommended by the company’s employees. These grants are being provided in addition to the foundation’s regular grant cycles.
UFG employees across the country had the opportunity to recommend an organization where they actively volunteer to be considered for funding.
"Treating people the right way has been a principle at UFG for 80 years and counting," said Casey Prince, UFG Foundation representative, and assistant vice president and marketing communications manager at UFG. "We couldn’t think of a better way to honor this legacy than by awarding a total of $80,000 to nonprofits recommended by our employees."
Eligible organizations were invited to apply for anniversary funding. Grant recipients represent a range of missions in Eastern Iowa and elsewhere in the state, as well as California and Louisiana.
Anniversary grant recipients were:
- Cedar Valley Humane Society
- Central City Fire Department
- Chorale Midwest
- Eastern Iowa Health Center
- Friends of Iowa CASA and ICFCRB
- Junior League of Cedar Rapids, Inc.
- Kids First Law Center
- Ladies for Purple Scholars Foundation, Louisiana
- Matthew 25
- Moms of Elk Grove, California
- Save CR Heritage
- The Arc of East Central Iowa
- Waypoint Services for Women, Children and Families
- YPN
"These nonprofits perform work that our employees hold close to their hearts," Prince said. "Our employees invest valuable time in causes that matter to them, and the UFG Foundation is proud to support those efforts through these anniversary grants."
The UFG Foundation is currently accepting applications for its regular grant cycle ending Aug. 31, 2026. Guidelines and application information are online at ufginsurance.com/foundation.
