UFG appoints Nathan Root as VP, underwriting enablement
UFG Insurance is pleased to announce that Nathan Root has been appointed vice president (VP), underwriting enablement, effective immediately. In this role, he will be responsible for underwriting process and workflow efficiency, expanding technical expertise and enhancing the product set to support profitable growth.
“Nate brings tremendous depth and breadth of knowledge across product management, underwriting transformation and the establishment of shared service models,” said UFG Senior VP and Chief Underwriting Officer Kelly Walsh. “I’m confident that his expertise and prior leadership experience at national carriers and consulting organizations will help drive our underwriting transformation forward at UFG.”
Root has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, including serving as head of project management for a leading multi-line insurer before joining UFG. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan in mathematics.
