UFG appoints Tim Moynihan as VP, Southeast regional manager

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — May 4, 2026

UFG Insurance is pleased to announce that Tim Moynihan has been appointed vice president, regional manager of its Southeast region. In this role, Moynihan will be responsible for executing underwriting strategy to drive profitable growth across a four-state territory of Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Tennessee, fostering strong agency relationships.

Man smiling in suit.“Tim’s strong relationship-building skills, broad technical underwriting expertise and deep understanding of the local marketplace have made him a trusted partner to our agents as branch leader, positioning him for a seamless transition and continued success as our Southeast regional manager,” said UFG Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Julie Stephenson. 


Moynihan has been a member of UFG since 2024, serving as assistant vice president and commercial lines branch leader in the company’s Southeast region prior to this appointment. He has 14 years of insurance industry experience, serving as a commercial director at a large national carrier before joining UFG. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
